In late 2023, Restoration Maintenance managing partner, Jason Hoffman, reached out to us to leverage the StoryBrand messaging framework and help them use it to create a website that grows their business.
Their old website had services and blog posts they no longer offer, and they wanted to focus their business on residential and commercial mold and water damage remediation.

Joe spent a morning on Zoom with Restoration Maintenance staff, getting to know their business, customers, and goals.
From that session, we discovered that the people who most often call them about home restoration are wives and mothers (or husbands at the request of their wives).
Moms are concerned about mold in their homes and the safety of their families. So, we structure the messaging around the people seeking their services.
Homepage Wireframe & Website Creation
After determining the right words to reach their ideal customers, we were ready to write and build a new website.
They’re a southern Florida-based restoration company, so competition is strong and (due to hurricanes) there are lots of potential customers.
We wrote the website to connect with those moms calling about the safety of their family, and structured it to have a good chance at performing well in search.
Lead Magnet Copy and Design
The Restoration Maintenance sales team gets a lot of calls about minor mold remediation jobs. Often, their techs end up going to a home, offering advice, and leaving without charging (nice guys, right?)
So, we needed to do two things with their lead magnet.
First, give practical mold remediation advice for people confident they have a minor visible issue.
Second, we needed to display knowledge and authority while cautioning that mold is often not visible, and urge the natural DIYers to call for an assessement.
